The famous comic about acting online is: “on the Internet nobody knows you are a dog”.

How come so many applicants that put their resume on the web do exactly the same? They polish their resume, call themselves expert in things they have been working on for 2 days years ago, write down grades where they only attended 25% of the curriculum or make themselves responsible for successes they were only hardly involved in.

I have done a lot of job interviews and as a interviewer I always question and poke around to see what is true and what is not. If I find something that has been articulated wrong on the resume it raises a red flag. With this candidate I stop taking information at face value.
